Ever notice how folks like Nazis, the KKK, religious fanatics, etc. never seem to have a sense of humour? Unless they're laughing at someone else's suffering. A sure sign of mental illness.

I think single-mindedness is a sign of mental illness. I don't mean single-mindedness of purpose; I mean more the sort of one-track mind that never questions itself. I think when you stop questioning your surroundings, you lose your essential humanity.
